Best Fat Bike Accessories

We've put together a page with all the fat bike gear you'll need to extend your cycling season into the winter. This is the stuff that we ride with. We've tested it all, and it's awesome. Enjoying your fat bike experience is all about having good equipment. With the right gear, you'll be warm and safe. But best of all, you'll be set to have the time of your life!

Fat Bike Shoes

Our Favorite: Bontrager OMW Fat Bike Boots

Ride all winter long in Bontrager's OMW Fat Bike Shoes. These are the shoes we ride, and they'll keep your toes warm well below zero.  The new Boa closure system makes putting the boots on nice and easy, plus it won't loosen up even during the hike-a-bike sections.  With this much protection, your feet won't even notice the cold, wet, and nasty riding conditions!

Winter Cycling Gloves

Winter cycling gloves are super warm, comfortable, and offer plenty of freedom in movement for working the brakes and shifters. You'll be so much happier when your hands aren't frozen during your ride, and that'll let you keep going with a smile on your face.

Shoe Covers

If you're not riding in specific fat bike boots, shoe covers are an excellent piece of gear to save you from the chilly winter weather.  These will slide over your existing cycling shoes and provide a comfortable layer of insulation.  They're also a lot more affordable than boots!

Balaclava

45 Nrth makes an amazing 100% Marina wool balaclava that will keep your head and face toasty in the harshest winter conditions.

Goggles

100% makes a nice, affordable goggle that will keep your eyes warm and won't fog up on you.

Bontrager Cycling Tights

These tights will keep you toasty warm on those cold rides. They're wind and water proof up front, breathable in the back, and thermal lined for cold weather comfort.

Winter Jackets and Shells

We absolutely love Pearl Izumi hoodies and shells. They're stylish, warm, and functional. Use insulated jackets as base-layers for temps between 20 to 30 degrees.

Old Man Winter Pants

The OMW pants are a must-have for fatbiking. These are SO NICE!  Nate picked a pair up this year and absolutely loves them! They completely cover your boots and eliminate even the slightest possibility of any snow getting in when you're trudging through the deep stuff. They're surprisingly flexible and super comfortable.
